New windows at La Petite Poche
In August 2007 we commission major works to La Petite Poche, and in January hammer and chisel swing into action.   The addition of two new windows will bring in more air and daylight and add more of a classic look to the rear of the house. Alison says it will improve my view whilst doing the washing up…

It takes the best part of the morning of day 1 to right-size a hole in the 2 feet thick wall of La Petite Poche.  One of the builders strikes a pose to remonstrate with a stubborn piece of masonry.

At the end of the first day we have a view onto the terrasse and temporary rockery feature.

Lunchtime day 2 and not a builder in sight, but a  window shaped hole is created.

By the end of the second day both windows are in.
Next day, a splash of paint and voila! the job is finished.
